Andes Mountains - Alicahue Ride    
Availability: From December to March (with possible exceptions from October depending on local weather conditions).
Difficulty: Regular
A journey that lead us to the birth of the cordilleran waters which will form La Ligua river and present us with breathtaking mountain ranges, always by the side of Alicahue river. With sessions of 6 hours daily, and in total freedom, we will enjoy the most spectacular views of the Cordillera de Los Andes, and Chilean protected animal species like the Guanaco, Condor, Piuquenes, etc ... and beautiful flora indigenous to the area. We'll enjoy a delicious lunch cooked in the embers of the fire every night, and sleep under one of the most stunning starry skies to reach the milestone boundary between Chile and Argentina, enjoying the company of goatherds grazing their animals in these verandas and make goat cheeses at the same place.

Minimum and maximum passengers for this route: Between 4 and 12 people
Program: Between 4 and 6 days
Schedule: 8:00 to 18:00 each day
Geographic location: Petorca county, right on the boundary between V and IV Region.
Weather conditions in summer: Mediterranean weather and mountain weather. Typical Andean temperatures in the summer are around 85ºF | 30ºC by day and 28ºF | -2ºC by night.
Includes meals?: Yes, during the ride, and lunch and breakfast the day before starting and at arrival at Los Perales.
Includes transportation?: Only from Valparaiso (round trip).
Optional: In this program you can add a transfer from Santiago to Los Perales and a lunch in Putaendo Hystorical City.
Includes guide?: We have a bilingual guide (English/Spanish). You need to ask for it at the moment of your reservation.
Doesn't include: Lunch at a coastal restaurant (I.E.: in Zapallar or Concón / City Tour Valparaíso / lodging in Valparaíso or another).
Recomendations for passengers: Sunblock in summer, sunglasses, hat, we recomend to wear narow shoes like boots or tennis shoes, not trekking shoes, (because of the chilean stirrup) if possible. Warm night and sleep clothes, fleece jacket or similar, polar neck or hat, jeans or comfortable pants. You will also need a sleeping bag, flashlight, and your personal hygiene products. The luggage should be light and just enough for days of the ride, since it will be carried in the passenger horse.
